A million dollar drug ring based in Las Vegas is busted. Federal investigators have arrested 27 people for illegally distributing Oxycodone, more commonly known as Oxycontin.
Thousands of tablets of the prescription drug were acquired in the valley, then transported via commercial airline flights, and illegally sold in various cities in Alaska.
Local motorcycle shop, Alley Rat Custom Cycles – located at 3965 East Patrick Lane – was allegedly being used to hide some of the profits. But the store’s owner, Troy Powell, says he had nothing to do with it.
