drug-addiction-charlie-sheenHis former co-star Jon Cryer revealed that he feared for his life on a chat show earlier this week.

But despite worries for his physical and indeed his mental health, Charlie Sheen has insisted that his is ‘absolutely sober’.

The former Two And A Half Men star couldn’t say how long he had been sober for and revealed he ‘really didn’t know what happened’ as his increasingly erratic behaviour hit headlines earlier this year.

Speaking to Matt Lauer on The Today show he insisted he was teetotal and explained: ‘Absolutely. I don’t really keep track of the time. It’s been a while. Things are a lot calmer. It’s a lot mellower.’

He said: ‘I really don’t know what happened.’

He also admitted that his obsession with Tiger Blood was ‘silly’ and admitted: ‘I don’t know, the Tiger Blood thing, it was so silly and people took it so seriously and I figured, alright, I’ll continue to give the people what they want, you know.’

He added: ‘Looking back on it, I don’t think I would trade it, but there are portions of it I would have amended a little bit.’

And explained his wacky statements that quickly turned into catchphrases he said: ‘I said some stuff and then it caught such traction globally and instantly that I couldn’t really put out the fire. From one moment to the next, I didn’t know what was going to happen. It was pretty exciting.’
