Reviews and Testimonials

Oxford Treatment Center - Inpatient
Feb 19, 2026
I try not to speak unless I truly mean what I’m saying — so these are my genuine thoughts. I have extensive experience with treatment centers and clinics — both as a counselor and a patient, with thousands of hours in various settings. My bachelor’s degree is in Counseling with an emphasis in Chemical Dependency, and my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is nearly complete. Because of that background, I believe I bring a unique perspective to evaluating treatment programs. Oxford Treatment Center is, without question, the highest-quality treatment center I’ve experienced. I’ve seen programs from the East Coast to California, including state-run facilities, private insurance programs, and even high-end luxury centers — Oxford stands out above them all. Intake & Detox The intake process at Oxford is exceptional, especially considering the number of patients they serve. Detox is handled with an outstanding level of care and attention to each individual. The process is both safe and personalized, typically lasting around five to seven days, depending on each person’s needs. Residential Care The transition from detox to residential can feel chaotic, but the staff and fellow patients bring an incredible amount of care and support through that process. My experience with my therapist, Shelby, has been top-notch. She’s not only well-educated but embodies the spirit of Carl Jung’s advice: “Know all the therapies, master all the techniques, but when working with a human soul, be just another human soul.” This really goes for most of the staff from drivers, TA's to Lauren, Brendarius, Tikisha, Jules, Barry, Keith (IOP) to name only a few. My world but also The world is better because they are here. Program Quality The psychoeducation sessions are exceptional — grounded in evidence-based practices while including those special touches that make Oxford unique (like Friday awards and treats). As with any treatment experience, what a person gets out of it depends on their openness and readiness to engage, but Oxford provides everything someone needs to begin or continue their recovery journey at any age. Environment & Staff The living arrangements feel welcoming and home-like rather than clinical, which greatly supports comfort and healing. The co-ed environment creates a more real-world dynamic to practice newly learned life skills. The nursing staff deserves special recognition — they show incredible patience, professionalism, and care even when managing a broad range of personalities and situations. Holistic Support Oxford introduces clients to self-help groups like NA and AA while still honoring each person’s individual needs and preferences. They strike a strong balance between structure and flexibility — something that’s difficult to achieve in this field. Final Thoughts As treatment continues to evolve across the U.S., there’s always room for progress — something I hope to be part of in my own career. However, from both personal and professional experience, I firmly believe that Oxford Treatment Center is leading that evolution from the front. In a field that too often becomes driven by numbers and profit, Oxford has managed to preserve that genuine fire — the call to truly help others. Oxford Treatment Center, well done. Five stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff here are exceptional! They are always open to advice from the patients on how to improve their ways. The staff here provide the right tools that we need as people in recovery. They were once in our shoes and now use their story of recovery to promote a better life of sobriety. Recently there was an ice storm and the staff came together to help interact with the patients and made sure they got fed.
