Specialization
  • Residential Treatment
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
  • Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness, or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.
  • Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Aftercare Support
Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Our facility offers aftercare planning and/or support work with patients to ensure sustainable recovery by planning and making arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc.
Our brand promise

In the event of a relapse at any time post-treatment, American Addiction Centers, Inc. will provide qualified individuals with up to an additional 30 consecutive days of treatment at one of its facilities at no additional cost to you. Some people think of it as a treatment guaranty – to us, us it’s our brand promise.

Amy as my therapist and Demetrius as a facilitator really helped me because they were very open and honest. He's not a sweet talker and he doesn't give you no BS. Amy always went above and beyond for me, she heard me and gave me tools and taught me about EMDR Therapy. One thing I liked was how the facilitators helped us relate to the material and gave us different aspects. I was able to get so many different perspectives and I enjoyed the openness. I went to the gym a lot and I loved the karaoke nights. There were so many groups doing different activities like volleyball as a community. It filled my heart to see people preforming at the karaoke night and the talent show. It let people be creative and share their talents, it was a great opportunity. I like how big and open the property is and they have lots of paths and walk throughs. The facilitators really do care, they're not just here for a check, they really want your feedback. I think its awesome that they have staff that really do care like Safiyyah. The kitchen staff is is awesome too!

There were so many that helped me during my stay here. The TA's are very relatable to the clients. My therapist Andrea was very helpful. Meg who does EMDR therapy was very therapeutic. They were able to bring some things out that I didn't want to deal with but I had to because it caused me to relapse. I got so caught up with work without really working on myself that led me to this point. I had a conversation with Dr. Sina that really helped because he has an abundance of experience. Orlando is a good dude, he really cares about the people here. Stephanie from EVS helped me with anything I needed down to my lost sock in the laundry. Nurse Betty was very patient. The groups were a refresher for me. I learned that recovery is a gift. Its something that can be returned so its something you want to take of, respect, and protect. I loved the AA meetings Monday Wednesday and Friday. Those guys show up no matter what and that lets you know they care. If it helps one person they've done their job. They have a lot of activities to do here. The gym they have is very nice and there is access to sports equipment and baseball, basketball, volleyball, and tennis fields. It helps us to take care of our bodies and take care of ourselves physically while developing healthy habits. We used to get that release from drugs or anger but now we can build new habits. I started to repair myself and identify differently while I was here and those activities were crucial. The community is very encouraging. Were from all different walks of life and we are all connected here.

TA Tarshae and Therapists Karah and Amy made it so welcoming and were so easy to talk to. They told me what I didn't want to hear but what I needed to hear. They didn't sugar coat anything which helped me a lot. I learned that addiction is a disease and I really liked the processing groups. That's what helped me dig in and bring everything out plus the coping skills on how to deal with that. Demitrius is a trip, he breaks it down where you can really understand things in a funny way. Mattie helped me with recovery literature and clothes to make me feel comfortable. Her door is always open. I liked the NA meetings. I played pool for the first time ever and I won! I had a lot of fun and I didn't think I could do it. I really like the nature path they have and the picnic areas outside. The memorial fountain they have here is also beautiful. Overall, River Oaks saved my life. If it wasn't for yall I wouldn't even be here right now. Today I have almost 30 days clean and sober!

Everybody has been very helpful. The staff in the kitchen, all my peers, the group facilitators. I was grateful to be here. I hate when people complain about the food and the rules here. Everything to me has been great, Veronica my case manager helped me to get my ticket home and found it cheaper for me. I've been in this country for for 49 years and this is the first time someone has helped me. The nurses and the staff were all helpful. if anybody says different, they are living in a different world. Its a privilege that we get to have our phones here and to have people to help. Some people don't want to be here but I am very thankful.

I definitely learned a lot here. All the staff members were courteous and kind. I didn't have a bad experience with anyone. The biggest thing I learned was from Demitrius, that I don't want to take my life and my ideas to the grave because of addiction. I know I can do it by letting go fear. I went to the 12 step meetings. Mattie and the TA's were a great help to me by being concerned for me and helping in any way they could. Overall it was a good experience.
